UI

Selected UI

A selection of interface work from mobile apps and web platforms. Some products needed a distinct look of their own. Others were built on a shared system, where the goal was consistency at scale.

A new look for every product

Each product got its own brand, tone and visual direction.

End-of-life planning app

Sketchli

Mobile · A bold, playful brand for a sensitive topic

Five mobile screens from an end-of-life planning app: a home screen with an invitation and plan progress, a personal records screen, a photo memories grid, a chat for ceremony preferences, and a contacts screen.

A mobile app that helps people record their wishes, personal details, memories and contacts in one place, with a conversational flow for ceremony preferences. The client wanted a bold, playful tone, so the visual direction carries it.

Caravan service app

Appetiser Apps

Mobile · Book repairs and track service requests in a few taps

Five mobile screens from a caravan service app: a home screen showing the owner’s caravan and service requests, a service log, a request status timeline, a dealership page with a map and team, and an account screen.

A service app for caravan owners: choose a repair or service, upload photos, pick from the nearest service centres and follow each request from submission to completion.

Sports team app

Sketchli

Mobile · A coach and player app for fixtures, results and player stats

Five mobile screens from a sports team app: a coach dashboard with upcoming games, a three-step game scheduling form, a game summary with performance rings, a player statistics screen, and a top performers list.

A mobile app for coaches and players to see upcoming games, schedule fixtures and review team and player stats after each game. A purple and amber palette keeps data-heavy screens easy to scan.

Social recommendations app

Appetiser Apps

Mobile · Ask your network, share places and discover new ones

Four mobile screens from a social recommendations app: a feed of questions, a comment thread, a location search with a map, and a notifications list.

Invite friends, family and your network, ask for recommendations and share the places you trust. Questions, comments and notifications keep the conversation moving.

Change-of-address app

Appetiser Apps

Mobile · Dark mode · Update all your accounts in one place

Five dark-mode mobile screens from a change-of-address app: a home screen with services, a list of providers, a request tracking timeline, a payment details form, and a move history list.

One tap, total update. Manage your contact and address details for all your services, track each request and move your accounts to your new address.

Systems and complexity

Data-heavy products where clear structure and consistency mattered most.

Farm management platform

Sensand

Web · Fields, history and event dialogs for farm managers

Four desktop screens from a farm management web app: a list of fields, a field detail page with a satellite map and history, an Add an event dialog, and a Delete event confirmation.

A web app for farm managers to see every field, review its history and log events. I designed the field flow from a brief, working with SMEs and BAs to shape it.

Carbon market platform

Sensand

Web · Explore, holdings and contracts, with “Blockbase Connect” tags linking credits to the farm platform

Four desktop screens from a carbon market web app: a grid of credit listings with filters, the same grid with a currency note and tooltip, a holdings screen, and a contracts screen.

A marketplace for buying, holding and trading carbon credits. When the platform was integrated with the agtech platform, tags and filters made the link visible.

NDIS provider platform

Sketchli

Web · Onboarding, client records, plans and shifts in one place

Four desktop screens from a service provider web app: an onboarding board, a clients list, an NDIS plan page, and a weekly shifts calendar.

A web CRM that helps NDIS providers onboard clients, manage plans and schedule shifts, with compliance tracking and Xero invoicing built in. I did end-to-end product design, with a heavy focus on UI.

Fitness app

Appetiser Apps

Mobile · Dashboard, training history, session summary and live session, built on Material Design

Four mobile screens from a fitness app built on Material Design: a dashboard with daily goal rings and weekly stats, a training history list, a treadmill run session summary with a speed and incline chart, and a live session screen with speed and incline controls.

Daily goals and weekly activity at a glance, a history of every session, a detailed summary after each workout, and live controls for speed and incline during a run.

Before and after

A point-of-sale system I redesigned in 2020, replacing screens that were over 25 years old.

Point-of-sale redesign

Univex

Desktop · 2020 · Billing, payment, item lookup and customer search for retail staff

Where it started: the original screens, over 25 years old in 2020

Original billing screen: a dark layout with the order on the left and around 40 coloured buttons for payment, discounts and actions.
Original cash tendering screen: a warning that change won't be calculated until the sale is completed, with the amount owing shown as minus $45.25.
Original billing screen with a customer: an account panel of labelled fields beside the order and the payment buttons.
Original item lookup: a twelve-column product table with rows of filter buttons and twenty function keys.
Original customer search: a dense customer table with search fields, an account panel and eighteen buttons.
Original on-screen keyboard: around seventy coloured keys, including modes, field navigation and function keys, with a warning that results are hidden while typing.

I designed it end to end, from research to UI. Walls of buttons and a dozen columns became a clear order summary, one search and fewer options on screen at once, with discounts and payment close at hand. The client was building it when my contract ended. These are 2020 designs, so they reflect the style of the time.

My favourite

I like this one for its white space and minimalism. It's a small, simple app, and every screen has room to breathe.

Coffee loyalty app

Sketchli

Mobile · Collect stamps in a tap and redeem rewards, with no sign-up

Five mobile screens from a coffee loyalty app: a stamp card with three of nine stamps collected, the café's member details, a search list of nearby cafés, saved rewards ready to redeem, and a profile with stamps, rewards and venues visited.

Customers collect loyalty stamps with a single tap, track and redeem rewards like a free coffee, and get personalised offers. The client's brand and colours were already set, so the work was making a simple app feel effortless within them.
